26 July 1939, page 9. MRS H. B. CROZIER. Mrs H. B. Crozier, who passed away at her residence, Waitahuna, a short time ago, had been a resident of the Waitahuna and Mount Stuart districts all her life. She was the youngest daughter of Mr and Mrs Redpath, who came to New Zealand in 1860 in the Robert Henderson, and subsequently took up a farm in the Mount Stuart district. In 1876 Mrs Crozier was born there and received her education at the Mount Stuart School under Messrs Patrick, P. B. Fraser and Miss Cameron. In 1901 she married Mr Hugh Crozier and went to reside in the Waitahuna township until, in 1903, Mr Crozier took over Mrs Redpath's farm at Mount Stuart. After 18 years farming there, Mr and Mrs Crozier retired and returned to their former home at Waitahuna. Mrs Crozier was a bright and attractive personality, and was much-loved friend of all the children of the district. She was a staunch supporter of the Presbyterian Church, and took a keen interest in all branches of church work. She was for many years a loyal and faithful member of the P.W.M.U., and had held the position of treasurer for the last 12 years, retiring; from this office about a month ago. During her 38 years of church membership Mrs Crozier missed only one communion service, and this she was prevented from attending by her last illness. The deceased was for many years an active and energetic member of he local Horticultural Society and was for some years one of its vice- presidents. She is survived by her husband. On Sunday morning a memorial service was held at the Waitahuna Presbyterian Church, when the Rev. A. J. Wardlaw conducted a very impressive service.
