  OBITUARY An old settler of the Rangitikei, Mrs Elizabeth Ann McDonell, of Parewanui, and later of Rongotea, passed away on Wednesday. The deceased lady was born in Lower Rangitikei in 1858, and was the second daughter of the late George and Selina Wheeler, who were amongst the earliest settlers of the district. She married Archibald McLean McDonell, the eldest son of the late James and Ann McDonell, of "Inverhoe," Lower Rangitikei, and a direct descendant of the Glengarry clan. She leaves four sons and one daughter. The deceased was a lady beloved by all. She was of a bright and cheerful disposition, charitable, and always ready to assist those in need.
