    • FATAL GUNSHOT WOUND.

An inquest concerning the death of Reginald Charles Gieseler, 28 years of age, who died at the Hospital yesterday, as the result of a gunshot wound received while rabbiting near Kaiapoi, on October 21, was held last evening before Mr T. A. B. Bailey, S.M.

Evidence was given by the deceased's wife and Dr McDiarmid, house surgeon at the Hospital.

A verdict was returned that death was caused by starvation, due to injuries in the abdomen received by the accidental discharge of a gun, which deceased was carrying when out shooting.
