Notes

OBITUARY
The death has occurred at Puru, Thames, of a former resident of Marokopa, Mr F. D. Haylock. Mr Haylock first went to that district from Akaroa in 1908. For a number of years he ran a launch from Marokopa up the river to the dairy factory at Awamarino, collecting cream en route. Later he disposed of the launch and took up land near Marokopa, which he farmed successfully for a number of years. Seven years ago he sold his farm and retired to Puru.
