At the residence of the bride's parents yesterday afternoon the wedding of Miss Sarah Esther Wallace, eldest daughter of Mr Joseph Wallace, of Wanganui, and Mr George Major, of Mangamahu, was celebrated. The ceremony was performed by Rev W. R. Tuck, of Aramoho Wesleyan Church. The bride, who was given away by her father, wore a neat costume of grey cashmere, relieved with green trimmings. She was attended by her sister, Miss Flossie Wallace, Miss Nellie Manson, .and the little Misses Mildred Wallace and Rosie Harford. Mr J.. Wallace officiated as best man, and Mr Norman Spurdle acted as groomsman. The bride has been a prominent and energetic worker in connection with the Aramoho Wesleyan Church. It is worthy of note, in connection with the above, that Mr and Mrs Joseph Wallace, the bride's parents, were the first couple married in Trinity Wesleyan Church, the Rev Mr Berry being the officiating minister.
