LAIRD, Malcolm Ray, 8 November 1952. Died peacefully at Kauri Coast Resthome Dargaville on Friday 29th July, surounded by loving family, a welcome relief from the limitiations of Parkinson's. Cherished son of Elin and the late Ray Laird. Loved partner of Bev (Hart). Loved and admired father and father-in-law of Charmaine and Lanyu, Robert and Trudy. Doting Grandad to Latesha, Sione, Taine, Ariah, Olivia, Brokke and Jack. Protective big brother and brother-in-law of Julie and Pat (O'Leary), Craig and Bronwyn Laird, Christine (Blondie) and Dave Bolland. Hugely respected. Funeral service will be held at the Dargaville Rugby Club on Monday 1st August at 11am. Everyone welcome for finalfarewell at Aramoho Cemetery in Whanganui on Wednesday 3rd August 2016 at 11am. - Whanganui Chronicle, 30 Jul 2016.

From Glenda Gregory [email removed for privacy] on 18 Feb 2005. Aunty Elin who is the next in age to my dad is married to Norman Ray Laird. Their children are in age order (1) Malcolm who was married and now divorced from Colleen Kraiger. Their children are Charmaine and Robert. Charmaine has a partner and a daughter but I dont remember the names. (2) Julie married to Patrick Oleary and their children (3) Andrew married with a new baby cant remember names. Carolyn married Richard (I always forget her husbands surname too must be old age) with daughter Dakota and son Angus. (4) Craig married to Bronwyn ? two children Renee and Shaun. (5) Christine separated from Frank Minton has a daughter Bryoney married almost a year ago to Mario (surname not known) and twin sons Evan and Bradley. Glenda
