This article by Coralie McKellar was published in the Triad magazine. The interview style article gives an impression of the effects of drought on the farms of northern New South Wales - the pests (rabbits, prickly pear), the starvation and death of livestock, and despair in the community.

The full title of the Triad, a monthly publication sold in Australia and New Zealand, was The Triad : a journal devoted to literacy, pictorial, musical and dramatic art.
