Headstone - Henry and Eliza Bensemann

Loving memory of Eliza, wife of Henry Bensemann, born 25 Dec 1845, died 25 Aug 1907. "Not dead but gone before". Also of Henry Bensemann, died 25 Aug 1923 aged 83 years.

Notes: The first Lutheran church at Upper Moutere was built in 1864. Johann Wilhelm Christof Heine was the Lutheran Pastor. The present second church was built in 1905.
