Headstone - Herbert and Kathleen Kilminster

In loving memory of Herbert James Kilminster, beloved husband of Kathleen, died 18th July 1987 aged 86 years; and Kathleen Kilmister, beloved wife of Herbert, died 4th May 2009 aged 96 years.

Shannon Cemetery, Shannon, Horowhenua District, Manawatu, New Zealand

Notes: The first interment took place in 1893, making it the Horowhenua District's third oldest cemetery and continues to be used on a regular basis by local families as the resting place for departed loved ones. The Cemetery has colonial charm with its rustic stone pillars and historic graves with many prominent early settlers from the Shannon area buried in the Cemetery.
