In fondest memory of Diederich Wilkens who died Feb 23 1913 aged 79 years also Sophiaa Magdalena, dearly beloved wife of the above who died Mar 17 1912 aged 67 years. We have O'ercome life's crosses, grief, pain and sorrow cease, with God we are at peace.

Notes: The first Lutheran church at Upper Moutere was built in 1864. Johann Wilhelm Christof Heine was the Lutheran Pastor. The present second church was built in 1905.
