Headstone Inscriptions - John Pavitt and Mary Ann Pavitt

Sacred to the memory of Mary Ann, the beloved (first) wife of Frederick Pavitt, died 13 March 1863 aged 37 years.
Sacred to the memory of John Pavitt, who departed this life 15 April 1865 aged 71 years. "Know that my redeemer liveth."
This Plaque was erected by John Pavitt's descendants in the year 2000. Facsimile of wording on the headstones.

Notes: Akaroa Anglican Cemetery opened in 1857 and is reaching capacity. In 2019 the cemetery is now full except for burial in pre-purchased plots or second interments. The cemetery is located on an area of flat to rolling hillside adjacent to the Garden of T?ne overlooking Akaroa Harbour.
