1415 | Memorial - Daniel Watkins Daniel Watkins, MRCS LCA, born Westwell Kent, England 21 November 1791, died Akaroa, New Zealand 21 November 1882. Surgeon-Superintendent S.S. Cressy, one of the famous "First four Ships". In 1850 he made his home in Akaroa, being its first Doctor and registrar of births, deaths and marriages. His wife Julia Maria Sloane, died 14 November 1851. She lies in Akaroa's French Cemetery.
